Democracy to discuss, experience and discover – through short guided tours, interactive activities and plenty of other surprises.
On the eve of German Unity Day, we invite you to reflect on democracy, discuss it in a variety of formats and celebrate our free and democratic constitutional order together. At our museums in Geretsried, Waldram and Wolfratshausen, democratic values become tangible. Visitors are invited to engage in conversation and exchange different perspectives.
At various stations, guests can test their knowledge of politics and history – whether they simply drop by spontaneously or take the time to explore the programme in depth.

Museum der Stadt Geretsried
● “Creating Peace” exhibition – What peace needs and what we can contribute ourselves
● Guided museum tour – Dictatorship versus democracy, with a focus on National Socialism
● Interactive stand – “Why vote?” The District Youth Council explores the history and significance of elections
Erinnerungsort BADEHAUS
● Short guided tours – Democracy in the Föhrenwald camp and in Waldram
● Argumentation training – Showing courage and taking a stand in everyday discussions
● Research station – “Were your (grand)parents Nazis?” in the special exhibition KRIEGSKINDER
● Interactive sports activity – Adult Education Centre: Democracy in Motion
Museum Wolfratshausen
● Escape Room – Discover democracy through play and find solutions together
● Speed dating – Talk directly with members of the City Council

Building on the successful cooperation established through a joint admission ticket, the three museums in Geretsried, Waldram and Wolfratshausen are taking part in the Long Night of Democracy together for the first time.
