War and peace, destruction and restoration, endings and new beginnings - there is a place that tells of it all. Its moving and diverse past is both a memorial and a beacon of hope. Learn stories of people who went through terrible things, but who didn't let these get them down, and who did everything they could to reshape the world for their children. Their stories are a source of inspiration and encouragement for today. Meet contemporary witnesses such as Ukrainian forced laborers, Jewish displaced persons or Catholic expellees.
